The Brood Lord as its name
implies is truly the Lord of the Skies! With its highly intimidating structure
and size, the Brood Lord easily out classes all other fellow Zerg aerial units.
It is known for its hideously massive appearance and its devilishly sinister
penchant for unleashing its little blood thirsty broodlings to devour enemy
targets.  Shortly after your commander
has added a greater spire to his base, the corruptors are transformed into
brood lords. This is how they are created as it costs about 150 minerals, 150
gases and taking approximately 34 seconds for this transformation to take
place.

Brood Lords are best used against
ground units. Each Brood Lord is capable of producing 2 Broodlings at a time.
It is interesting to note here that, the Brood Lord is capable of long range
siege attacks with respect to its released Broodlings. These Broodlings are
actually biological weapons because they are living creatures which are
released with only 1 instruction – FIGHT TILL THE DEATH!!! That’s the ultimate
weapon if you ask me! What makes the Brood Lord a really formidable Zerg unit
is the fact that these Broodlings are not only releasable from long range, they
are also reproduced as soon as the first set have been destroyed, thus keeping
up the battle’s tempo. Amazingly, anytime a Zerg installation gets nicked,
Broodlings appear. This could be seen as a consolatory measure for you if you
are on the losing side and a bit of frustration for your opponent who will have
to contend with these creatures anytime he destroys any Zerg building! How cool
is that?

A worthy replacement for the
Guardian in the previous edition of Starcraft, the Brood Lord will easily wreck
instantaneous havoc on enemy installations. 5477dfb2a290862 Brood Lord Guide – Truly, The Lord Of The Skies
But then again, providence has ensured that there isn’t a unit that can
boast of having it all. The story is so true for the Brood Lord. Fierce and as
terrifying as it is, the Brood Lord is still with its own shortcomings.

The Brood Lord lacks the
capability of attacking air units. As a result of this, it is very important to
provide air support for the Brood Lord while it is in the process of devouring
the ground units. Also, due to its monstrous size, the Brood Lord is a slow
moving creature. It cannot be quickly called into a conflict and it certainly
cannot quickly flee from a scene of woe. This can make things really
uncomfortable for the Zergs, because without air support for the Brood Lord, it
is as good as dead in the hands of other enemy aerial units.

Conclusively, Brood Lords are not
the very easy-to-use kind of Zerg units, but with the right proportion of other
supporting Zerg units, the Brood Lord is capable of totally annihilating
whatever ground unit forces that may come its way.
